![]() ![]() Nestled on the lush and enchanting estate of Castello di Querceto near the hamlet of Lucolena is Quercetino (The Little Oak), a country home that takes its name from the 11th century castle that once stood out as one of the most important estates in the Chianti region. What began as one residence on the grounds of the castle, Quercetino is now a beautifully restored country house located near the town of Greve in Chianti, almost equidistant between Florence and Siena. The carefully and stylishly restored Quercetino is now available to visitors seeking a peaceful holiday in one of the most beautiful wine growing regions of Italy. The impeccably decorated main house boasts four bedrooms, two-and-one-half baths, a new private outdoor swimming pool, modern kitchen facilities, several outdoor patio areas, satellite TV, washing machine with dryer, even an outdoor wood burning pizza oven. Within the villa is a private apartment with two bedrooms, one bathroom, kitchen and living/dining room. This additional apartment allows guests to have another option for privacy including a separate entrance, living and sleeping quarters. Please note that Quercetino will not be rented to more than one party at a time. The house welcomes guests with crisp white walls, tile floors, wood beams and country antiques from the Tuscan region. Guests will enjoy cooking in the newly renovated kitchen and preparing meals with local oils, wines, bread and cheeses. The pottery that decorates the walls make the kitchen at Quercetino a focal point. After a delicious pool-side meal overlooking the vineyards, guests may unwind in one of the homeās romantically appointed bedrooms decorated in soft country linens and simple rustic accents. |
